Polymeric ferric sulfate coagulation process is be divided into three stages:
Note the mixed hydraulic conditions setting the three stages of the process and the formation of alum status.
(1) Condensed phase:condensed phase is liquid injection coagulation tank and water rapid coagulation micro floc formation process in a very short time, the water more turbid water, it can produce intense turbulence. Beaker experiment should be fast (250-300 / 10-30S) mixing, generally not more than 2min.
(2) The flocculation stage: alum growth coarsening process requirements, turbulent extent appropriate and sufficient residence time (10-15min), to later observed a large floc aggregation slowly sinking, form a clear surface layer. Beaker experiment to 150 RPM stirring for about 6 minutes, and then to 60 rpm stirring for about 4 minutes until a suspended state.
(3) The subsidence stage: it is the process of polymeric ferric sulfate(basic chrome sulphate) flocculation was in the settling basin subsidence, slow water flow requirements, in order to improve the efficiency of the inclined tube sedimentation tank (plate) (the best use of flotation separation of floc), large alum perianth tube large (plate) and deposition in the cell wall barrier bottom, the upper water as the water clear, the rest of the small particle size, low density of alum slowly decreased, while continuing to collision between nodes, to later residual turbidity basically unchanged. Beaker experiment should be to 20-30 / slow stirring for 5 minutes, then the static settling for 10 minutes, residual turbidity measurement.
